Don’t miss out on eating fresh local vegetables this week! … As you may know, this Thursday, July 15, there is no Mac Farmers’ Market due to Turkey Rama festivities. Since Oakhill Organics’s fields are full of summer abundance, we thought we’d take this opportunity to have a one-time Open House / Field Market out here at the farm!
Between 1:30 and 6:30 (regular market hours), you are welcome to come by the farm to walk around, chat with us, and buy your regular weekly veggies. We won’t be harvesting ahead of time, so this will be an opportunity for you to personally select your vegetables right here in the field! We’ll harvest and wash for you on the spot! You can’t get much fresher than that.
To help you make your shopping list, here’s an idea of what will be available: lettuce, salad mix, beets, radishes, cucumbers, broccoli, kale, chard, baby bok choy, fennel bulbs, summer squash, eggplant, basil, raddichio, green onions, kohlrabi, sunflowers, and more!
All are welcome: CSA members, regular market customers, newcomers, curious folks … spread the word!

Directions to the farm: Take Baker Creek Rd WEST out of Mac. Go past the subdivisions and churches until you get to the new bridge at the intersection between Hill and Baker Creek. Turn RIGHT after the bridge onto HILL RD. We’re on your right, just before the big hill. Turn into the circular driveway next to the garden and the bright blue shop building (you should see our red Honda civic there too). If you don’t see us immediately, feel free to wander out into the fields and look for us.
